This weekend we converted Norah’s crib into a day bed. After 2 nights, she hasn’t fallen out yet and has been really excited about being able to get in and out whenever she wants during her awake time. We didn’t tell her we were planning on doing it ahead of time so she continues along just going with the flow. Have to say, she’s a pretty impressive little girl for all that we have thrown at her over the past 8 months and she just keeps moving along without much fuss at all.
On Friday, Norah’s daycare had a “Moving up” day. It basically is a party for the kids moving on to kindergarten, but each kid also “moves up”. Everyone received a little certificate and the kids put on a little show and dance for all the parents. It was very cute to see and loved seeing Norah taking part with most of the kids being older.
Back in March we picked up a potty seat for Norah that goes right on the toilet. She likes the idea of sitting on it and loves grabbing her paper while on. We’ve never really tried very hard to get her to use it, only encouraged her to sit and get comfy on it. Well, on Saturday, she said “pee” and Meg put her on the toilet. This is very normal, so Meg left the bathroom to put something away of Norah’s and came back in and heard the sound of success. Norah has followed it up a few more times this weekend so looks like diapers might need to be retired soon!
So I don’t forget, Norah was 23 months and 1 day old.
